The City Civil and Sessions court will soon have a slick Kiosk machine installed at their entrance to provide latest court developments including orders and list of cases coming up before every judge during the day.
Along with the Kiosk, the information would also be made available online through 'www.court.nic.in' within a month or two.
The step has been initiated by Principal Judge of Sessions Court, M T Joshi, who took charge last week. According to the proposed plan, all courts would put up detailed list of the cases that are expected to come up for hearing the next day along with the update on each of them.
The Public Works Department has set up the machine which would start functioning as soon as the database is made available.
It is expected that the court's would provide the required data within a month. Although the system would be one of its kind in Mumbai, several districts in Maharashtra have already experimented with it successfully.

"Such machines have been successfully used in many district courts in rural Maharashtra and they help in increasing transparency and provide detailed information to the public," Joshi said.
